Figure 4. Dexamethasone induced anti-inflammatory response and outflow resistance

We present an overview of gene expression differences and associated biological effects induced by DEX. A considerable number of DEX regulated genes have overlapping roles in anti-inflammatory response and outflow resistance. The increased outflow resistance and subsequent ocular hypertension may be byproducts of the favorable anti-inflammatory response triggered by DEX treatment.
