Transmission electron micrograph depicting a drusen phenotype characterized by homogeneous substructure. A higher magnification image is depicted in Figure 2A. This class of drusen is manifest by a uniformly homogenous substructure (A and B); they are typically spherical to hemispherical, but can vary in size from extremely small (B) to >200 µm.
