Figure 2. Transgenic plant morphology
A. The expression cassette shown in Figure 1 was cloned into the disabled A. tumefaciens LBA4404 strain by triparental mating. The resultant recombinant strain was used to infect Nicotiana tabacum leaf disks. Transgenic disks produced calli on kanamycin-selective medium. Shoots from calli were excised and transferred to fresh selective medium and allowed to develop into full plants as shown here.
