Figure 4. Lack of effect of FGF on proliferation of porcine RPE cells

Total protein content of primarily cultured porcine retinal pigment epithelial (RPE) cells at different times cultured with human acidic (aFGF) and basic (bFGF) fibroblast growth factor. The experiments were performed in the same manner as those with primary human cultures (see Figure 1). Statistically significant differences in protein content between a treatment and control group are marked with a double plus (++) for p<0.01 (two tailed, unpaired t-test, n=6).
