The relationship of the rate (μM/2 h) of λ-crystallin-enhanced NADH photo-oxidation to concentrations of partially purified λ-crystallin (A) and NADH (B). In A, photo-oxidation rates were determined at 50 μM NADH with or without partially purified λ-crystallin (0-70 μg protein/ml). In B, rates of NADH (10-50 μM) photo-oxidation were determined in the presence (red circles) and absence (blue boxes) of 35 μg protein/ml of partially purified λ-crystallin.
