The probe sets that were included in the statistically significant clusters were sorted by the Affymetrix Gene Ontology Mining Tool to identify relevant genes. The complement of plasma membrane receptors changed during development, which suggests a capacity to respond to the new signals that would be expected from the differentiating neural retinal and choriocapillaris. Mean values of 3-4 biological replicates are indicated according to the scale, in arbitrary units, depicted at the bottom.
