Treatment with the uncoupler of the electron transport chain potential, carbonyl cyanide m-chlorophenylhydrazone (CCCP) also abolished the movement of TMRE fluorescence in the mitochondria of the superficial cortical fiber cells, as in Figure 6 (epithelium). This animation was reconstructed from 60 images of the epithelial cells that were taken from the same z-plane for 12 min.
