Figure 5. Detection of RARs and RXRs by RT-PCR and Southern blot analysis
RT-PCR was performed on total RNA isolated from the HEK293 cells, and the PCR product was confirmed with Southern blot analysis. The 32P-labeled oligonucleotide probes were synthesized according to gene sequences of human RARs and RXRs. The detected length of the PCR products of these receptors are as follows: 947 bp for RARα, 1016 bp for RARβ, 1051 bp for RARγ, 933 bp for RXRα, 999 bp for RXRβ, and 1030 bp for RXRγ.
