In the dark (left panels), Tβ is mainly distributed within the rod outer segments (ROS) in wild type and Grk1^-/-/Arr^-/- retinas. In the light (right panels), it is present throughout the entire photoreceptor layer. In Grk1^-/-/Gnat1^-/- double knockout retinas (middle panels), Tβ appears equally distributed throughout the photoreceptors independent of light and dark. A: Wild type (wt) retinas.
