Figure 4. Purity of the nuclear preparation

Purified nuclear fraction was fixed with 2.5% glutaraldehyde, and stained with Hoechst dye that stains nuclei. Panel A shows phase contrast micrograph of the material and panel B shows the blue-colored nuclei. The figure demonstrates the purity of the preparation: All the structures, with the exception of an occasional vesicle (marked by arrows), reacted with the nuclear stain.
