Figure 1. Northern blot analysis of mCAR mRNA in mouse tissues

Total RNA (20 μg) from various mouse tissues was resolved on a 1% denaturing agarose gel, transferred to a nylon membrane and hybridized to a mCAR cDNA radioactive labeled probe. The membrane was striped and re-hybridized to a mouse rod arrestin (mSAG) cDNA radioactive probe, and striped again and rehybridized to a mouse β-actin probe, as described in the procedures. Sizes of the hybridization bands are indicated. Light retina, retinas from mouse killed at midday under room light; Dark retina, retinas from mouse killed at midnight under infrared light.
