Rhodamine uptake was measured in cultured human RPE cell monolayers (passage 14) grown on 35 mm culture dishes. Vehicle (DMSO) concentration was constant in all incubations. Each point is the average of three determinations. The curve is a nonlinear least squares fit (Sigma Plot) to the data of a single site Michaelis relationship.
