Polyacrylamide gels of representative ROS preparations from wild-type, P23H, and S334ter rat retinas. Equal amounts of protein from each ROS preparation were solubilized in SDS buffer, run on 7.5% acrylamide gels, and silver stained. The major band in all preparations is rhodopsin, except for the fast degenerating S334ter line. STD- molecular weight standards.
