Figure 3. Oxidation-induced aggregation of βL-crystallin
βL-Crystallin (0.5 mg/ml) from control (C), food restriction (FR), protein restriction (PR) and vitamin restriction (VR) groups was incubated in oxidation buffer at 37 °C for 24 h. Light scattering due to aggregation was monitored at 400 nm. Data are shown as mean±standard error of three separate lens extracts carried out in duplicate. Asterisks denote a significant difference from the control group.
