Protein (100 mg, 5-6 pooled lenses) from control (C), food restriction (FR), protein restriction (PR), and vitamin restriction (VR) groups was loaded onto a Sephacryl S-300 HR column. The column was equilibrated with homogenization buffer and proteins were eluted with the same buffer at 0.2 ml/min flow rate. Fractions (1.6 ml) were monitored at 280 nm.
