Figure 4. Effect of PLC antibodies on PLC activity and cell proliferation

Total inositol phosphates accumulation and cell proliferation assays were performed as described in text. A: CEC cells were simultaneously treated with FGF-2 (10 ng/ml) and anti-PLC-g1 antibody in three different concentrations of the antibody for 24 h. Control cells were maintained for 24 h in the absence of both FGF-2 and neutralizing antibodies. B: CEC cells that had been starved of serum for 24 h were treated with FGF-2 (10 ng/ml) and anti-PLC-g1 antibody in three concentrations for an additional 24 h. C: CEC cells were treated with 5 ml of either anti-PLC-g1 antibody, anti-PLC-b1 antibody, or anti-PLC-d1 antibody in the presence of FGF-2 (10 ng/ml) for 24 h. Experiments were done in triplicate and repeated three times; data shown are from one experiment. Error bars represent the standard error of the mean.
