Proteins were extracted from corneas and skin of wild type and corn1/corn1 mice. Two bands (98 kD and 110 kD) were observed in corneal and skin samples of wild type mice from the soluble fraction, whereas there was only one band (98 kD) was observed in the corneal sample from corn1/corn1 mice. These bands only appeared in skin sample from the insoluble fraction. NC represents normal cornea protein, CC represents Corn1 protein, and NS represents normal skin protein.
