Figure 3. Lens weights in Rara and Rarb lines

Both fixed lenses were weighed and the average value was plotted. There is no significant effect of knocking out the genes on lens weight residuals with our current sample size. All values are the residual weights (deviations from the regression line) and therefore are corrected for differences in sex, body weight, and the logarithm of age. Red symbols are for Rara cases, blue symbols are for Rarb. In this analysis we excluded two Rarb knockout cases that are outliers (lens residuals <-1.5 mg).
