Non-denaturing composite gels of a-crystallin. Samples were incubated for 1 h at room temperature (RT; lane 2), 35 °C (lane 3), 40 °C (lane 4), 45 °C (lane 5), 50 °C (lane 6), 55 °C (lane 7), 60 °C (lane 8), 65 °C (lane 9), and 70 °C (lane 10), then allowed to cool to RT before adding to the gel. Apoferritin (APO; lane 1) was used as a 450 kDa molecular weight marker. A: Native a-crystallin; B: Renatured a-crystallin; C: aA-Crystallin.
