Alignment of the human a1F peptide used to develop the antiserum with the homologous region of the rat a1F, rat a1C (Swiss-Prot P22002) and rat a1D (Swiss-Prot P27732) sequences. Residues identical to those in the human sequence are shown in red type. Gaps are incorporated to improve the alignment. The positions of the amino acids in the full-length proteins are indicated to the right of the peptide sequences.
