Figure 3. Thermal denaturation of SmaI in the presence of chaperones
An investigation on thermal denaturation of SmaI in the presence of chaperones at various temperatures was carried out. Each assay tube had 3 units of the enzyme, 33 ng of BSA, 0.5% glycerol and 2 mg of crystallin in a total of 13 ml of 1X buffer, supplied by the manufacturer. The control lanes show plasmid (200 ng) digestion (performed at 25 °C for 90 min) by SmaI incubated at different temperatures (4 °C, 37 °C, 45 °C, and 55 °C) in the absence of chaperones.
