Figure 5. Proteoglycan and extracellular matrix gene expression in late passage MK/T-1 cells

Regulation of gene expression in early and late passage (P4 and P77, respectively) MK/T-1 cells was assessed by Northern blotting. The MK/T-1 cells expressed mRNA for lumican (A), mimecan (A), decorin (B), and collagen a1 (B). The two blots shown were produced with equal parts of the same RNA preparations. Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (gapdh) was used as an internal control for loading and RNA integrity.
