Effect of co-expression of specific molecular chaperones on the solubility of wild type z-crystallin 3 h after induction by IPTG at 37 °C. Cells co-expressing DnaK/DnaJ/GrpE along with z-crystallin and those expressing GroEL/ES along with z-crystallin were fractionated into the soluble (S) and insoluble (I) fractions and run on SDS-polyacrylamide gels.
