Elution profiles of tryptic digests of total proteins from the nuclear region of a 60 year old cataractous lens (A) and 64 year old normal lens (B). A linear gradient of 30-40% (v/v) acetonitrile in 0.1% (v/v) trifluoroacetic acid was used, over a period of 60 min, at a flow rate of 1.0 ml/min.
