Figure 5. Effect of NDGA and HETEs on DNA synthesis following stimulation of N/N1003A cells with EGF
The N/N1003A cells were deprived of serum for 48 h and then stimulated with EGF for 18 h. NDGA (30 µM) and/or HETEs (0.1 µM-3 µM), when present, were added 40 min before the addition of EGF. A. 5(S)HETE. B. 8(S)HETE. C. 15(S)HETE. D. 12(R)HETE. At the end of 18 h culture period, cells were pulse-labeled for 1 h with 0.5 µCi 3H-thymidine. Results are the average of three measurements; error bars represent SEM.
