Figure 3. Time course of radioactivity in lenses of rats injected with 3H-glutathione
Rats were sacrificed at the times indicated after injection of glutathione, and the lenses dissected out and homogenized in PEDTA (1 ml). For determination of radioactivity, aliquots of 100 µl of this homogenate were taken, diluted with 0.4 ml water and added to 5 ml scintillation cocktail (EP Ready-solv). The dpm per 100 µl aliquot of lens homogenate are shown as a function of sampling time.
