Figure 2. Time course of glutathione concentration in whole blood after intraperitoneal injection
0.8 µCi of 3H-glutathione was injected intraperitoneally per rat in 200 µl of glutathione (10 Mm), which contained 2 µmoles glutathione per injection. Glutathione was determined by HPLC as described in the text, using a C18 Bondapak column with electrochemical detection, on extracts of whole blood, deproteinized by perchloric acid (0. 2 M). Glutathione concentrations shown are expressed in µmoles/ml whole blood.
