Figure 5. Northern blot analysis of clone 2 mRNA expression in lens and non-lens tissues.
The northern blot analysis of 10 µg total RNA from 3-day rat pup lenses shows that clone 2 mRNA is expressed in lens epithelial cells (Lane 2), with a trace amount in lens fibers (Lane 3), but is not expressed in lung (Lane 1), retina (Lane 4), heart muscle (Lane 5), skeletal muscle (Lane 6).
