A third class of drusen is highly heterogeneous and contains electron dense and electron lucent inclusions, spherical profiles, fibrin-like profiles, curvilinear profiles, and, perhaps, cellular debris (A and B). They are also characterized by the presence of a calcium-containing inclusions (B and Figure 6A).
