A. Soft drusen from localized basal linear vesicular material (between arrows and C) located between the retinal pigment epithelial and the remainder of the Bruch's membrane. A thin layer of basal laminar deposit (between arrowheads and B) is present between the intact RPE and the RPE basal lamina (BL). The detachment of the basal linear deposit (asterisk) is probably artifact (cc=choriocapillaries). x2,800.
