Figure 7. Effects of nitrendipine (3 µM) on basal- and 35 mM KCl-stimulated [Ca²⁺]_in

Cells were treated as described in the legend to Figure 6. Nitrendipine (3 µM) was introduced 10 min prior to the second stimulation. The K⁺-evoked increase of [Ca²⁺]_in was almost completely blocked by 3 µM nitrendipine while the basal level of the [Ca²⁺]_in was unaffected. This response is representative of those recorded from 8 cells.
