Figure 1. Transpupillary intravitreal injection technique. AB: Make an incision in the cornea using a 28-gauge needle with the bevel oriented downward. CD: Insert a bent 35-gauge blunt needle attached to a syringe preloaded with injection solution through the incision to enter the pupil. EF: Sweep the needle around the lens beneath the iris to reach the vitreous chamber and then inject the solution.
