Figure 7. Aggregation of lens proteins on incubation αAP1 and αBP4 peptides with WS-HLL. The water soluble (WS) protein (250 µg) was incubated at 37 °C with 100 µM of the selected peptides in a 200 µl reaction mixture in 10 mM phosphate buffer (pH 7.4, containing 100 mM NaCl) for 18 h. Aggregation of the WS protein was analyzed with the Aggresome assay kit (Enzo Life Sciences) using the manufacturer’s instructions as described in the Materials and Methods section. Experiments were performed in triplicate, but the results of only one set are presented.
