(PBMCs) were preincubated for 30 min with cationic emulsions of cetalkonium chloride (CE-CKC) or dexamethasone (DXM). The
cells were then stimulated with lipopolysaccharide (LPS) for 24 h. Emulsions were omitted during LPS stimulation, whereas
DXM was present. Results are expressed as a percentage of the unstimulated control (set at 100%). Experiments were performed
in duplicates.
