Figure 2. The Wnt signaling molecules FZD8, TCF7L2, and RYK and their association with CCT in Singapore Indian and Malaysian populations. In the Singapore Indian population, a variant in the FZD8-containing region [rs640827; p=5.17×10−4] is associated with central corneal thickness (CCT; A). In contrast, the variants in the intervals containing Wnt signaling genes TCF7L2 (C) and RYK (E) are not significant. In the Singapore Malaysian population, a variant in TCF7L2 (rs3814573; p=1.18×10−3) is associated with CCT (D) and two variants in the RYK-containing interval (rs6763231; p=1.12×10−3 and rs4854785; p=1.11×10−3) are associated with CCT (F). Variants in the vicinity of FZD8 are not associated with CCT in the Singapore Malaysian population. Variants in the region of the remaining seven Wnt genes evaluated are not statistically significant.
