negative control group (★p<0.05), suggesting a role for Islet-1 in the migration of HUVECs. C, D: A Matrigel invasion assay in the Transwell culture chambers was performed to determine the effect of Islet-1 on the in vitro
invasion of HUVECs. The number of siRNA-Islet-1 group cells that passed through Matrigel was only 41% compared with the negative
control group (★p<0.05). Together, these results support a critical role for Islet-1 in the motility of HUVECs.
