A: The median survival of the allogeneic transplants was 12 days. Cryosections were dissected at the indicated days after keratoplasty. BG: The allogeneic transplants showed dense infiltration of inflammatory cells in addition to stromal edema. The syngeneic transplants showed less cellular infiltration around the sutures (✱) and almost no edema (BD: allogeneic day 15, EG: allogeneic day 21, HJ: syngeneic day 21).
