A: Cells appear to be compact, uniform, and the typical cobblestone shape. Phalloidin staining for visualization of rCjEC morphology. Goblet cells contain secretory vesicles in the cytoplasm (the arrowhead indicates goblet cells). B: Mucins were detected with periodic acid–Schiff (PAS) staining (goblet cells are indicated by the arrowhead).
