Each lane represents 8 ug of genomic DNA for each species digested with EcoRI. The blots were hybridized with a radiolabelled PEDF probe. A large fragment of approximately 23 kb is seen in all primates (right panel), many mammalian species (center panel) and in chicken (left panel). In addition, several polymorphisms are seen in the different mammalian species examined (center panel).
