Adhesions seen in transforming growth factor beta (TGFβ) transgenic (TG) and matrix metalloproteinase-9 knockout (MMP-9KO)/TGFβ1 transgenic mice clearly demonstrate a change in the corneal endothelium (ce) and a hypercellularity of the iris (i) epithelium. These features were absent in the wild-type (WT) and MMP-9KO mice. 40X, bar=50 µm.
