Figure 6. Curcumin-induced microRNAs in ARPE-19 cells. Following two criteria of statistical significance (p<0.05) and fold change (FC) (≥ or ≤2), the quantitative real-time polymerase chain reaction (qRT-PCR) array revealed five microRNAs (miRNAs) that were upregulated in cells treated with 20 μM curcumin for 6 h. The miRNAs have been reported to target angiotensin II type 1 receptor (AT1R), nuclear factor-kappa B (NF-κB), platelet-derived growth factor β (PDGFβ), and vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF).
