Figure 5. An enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay was used to examine the proliferation of human retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) cells. The cells were first incubated for 24 h in fetal bovine serum (FBS)- or human amniotic fluid (HAF)-containing media and cell proliferation was assessed using the enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit. Each bar represents the mean±standard error of the mean (SEM) of at least two independent experiments performed in triplicate. As seen, proliferation rate of HAF-treated RPE cells was increased through a dose-dependent manner.
