Reverse transcription–polymerase chain reaction (RT–PCR) products obtained from HeLa cells were transfected with pcDNA3.1-MIP-WT, pcDNA3.1-MIP-MUT, and pcDNA3.1(+)independently. RT–PCR products were separated on a 2% agarose gel. RT–PCR of total RNA obtained from cells transfected with pcDNA3.1-MIP-WT showed a 317 bp band, and RT–PCR of total RNA obtained from cells transfected with pcDNA3.1-MIP-MUT showed a 236 bp band. No bands were detected when RT–PCR was performed with total RNA from pcDNA3.1 (+) transfected cells.
