Comparison of the clinical data of the 5 patients with positive cluster of differentiation (CD)8 cells in impression cytology and the CD8-negative patients (n=27). These five patients performed worse in most of the tests with the exception of the ocular surface disease index. Statistical significance was reached in the Oxford test. Median human leucocyte antigen (HLA)-DR expression was higher in CD8-positive patients as well, without reaching significance.
