The expression of Slc4 genes was compared between cultured cells (passage 2 and 7) and the primary corneal endothelium, which served as the calibrator sample. Gene expression was normalized using a normalization factor, calculated from expression data of three housekeeping genes (Hprt1, Actb and 18s rRNA). Results shown are the mean fold change ± standard deviation in mRNA expression relative to the calibrator sample (set as 1) calculated from three independent experiments.
