Figure 3. Expression of the EPHA2 protein in human SRA 01/04 and mouse αTN4 lens epithelial cells. Western blotting was performed on cell lysates of each cell line with the anti-EphA2 antibody. The specific band of ~140 kilo Daltons (kDa) in the two cell lines corresponds to the posttranslationally modified form of the protein. The ~108 kDa band in SRA 01/04 cells corresponds to the unmodified form of EPHA2 and the ~50 kDa band is likely a degradation product. The molecular masses of protein standards are indicated in kDa.
