All results based on dominant model, Ala/Ala+Pro/Ala VS Pro/Pro; CI, confidence interval; OR, odds ratio; I2, inconsistency index; FEM, fixed effect model. Significant difference of incidence of diabetic retinopathy was found in Ala carriers comparing with Pro/Pro carriers in Caucasians.
