The drug depot size was measured in the unit of optic nerve disc area by an indirect ophthalmoscope at each checking point. The drug depots from all the doses were visible 2 months after the initial intravitreal injection. The drug depot of the highest dose was still visible 7 months before the animals were euthanized.
