A: NF-κB1/p50 protein expression levels in parental WT cells, scrambled shRNA and NF-κB sublines were compared by western blot analysis. Glyceraldehyde-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GAPDH) expression level invariance validates protein loading equivalence. B: CAP fails to induce IL-6 and IL-8 rises in NF-κB1 subline. ELISA was performed after 24 h in the presence or absence of CAP (20 µM) for both scrambled shRNA and JNK1 sublines. Results are from three independent experiments each performed in triplicate.
