results also showed that sodium selenite induced Akt phosphorylation in
a PI3-K-dependent manner either in the normal or 1,2-DHN stimulated
state. The intervention duration of LY294002, sodium selenite and 1,2-
DHN was 1, 12, and 24 h, respectively. It was noteworthy that
pretreatment of 4 ng/ml sodium selenite apparently promoted Akt
phosphorylation and nuclear translocation in hLECs treated with 5×10−5
M 1, 2-DHN. This effect was inhibited by 1-h pretreatment of 30 μM
LY294002.
